Chlorine dioxide in livestock
CHEMYA Chlorine Dioxide is an effective, tasteless and odorless substance at low concentrations, does not turn into chlorophenols that can create residual and chlorine taste, is effective against bacteria, fungi, algae and biofilms at low and high pH values, with some substances that may cause the formation of chloramines and trihalomentans (THMs), and with ammonia. It has properties such as non-reactivity. In addition, Chlorine dioxide is an effective agent against chlorine-resistant Giardia and Cryptosporidium from water-borne parasites. Chlorine dioxide is used in animal husbandry as well as in different fields due to its resistance to parasites.

Water and Seafood
Chlorine dioxide is very effective at low concentrations in fish production basins. Chlorine dioxide is a very selective oxidant and reacts predominantly with organic substances. Compared with other oxidants (hydrogen peroxide, ozone and chlorine), the biggest advantage of chlorine dioxide is its low oxidation power along with its high oxidation capacity. At a concentration of about 0.04 mg/lt, the bacterial pressure is greatly reduced without adversely affecting the aquatic biological and aquaculture. Ammonia and nitrite levels should be measured regularly at a concentration of 0.1 mg/lt. At higher concentrations (between 0.2 mg/lt to 0.5 mg/lt), ClO2 can significantly reduce and solve bacterial problems in fish.
